Jez took part in the first round of the British Karting Championship at Lydd Kart Circuit. Lydd is the fastest circuit for outdoor Go Karting in the country.
Saturday saw Jez qualify 2nd, 5 hundredths of a second behind pole but sadly experienced some bad luck on the track during the heat and pre-final, which placed him 30th on the grid for the final. Despite this, Jez fought from the back and gained the record for the most overtakes of the race and gained a respectable 8th position.
The British Championships are bigger, better and more prestigious than ever due to motorsport’s national governing body, Motorsport UK, organising the races for the first time through its new Karting UK Operation.
